Dear readers and spiritual friends,
After a long absence, I'm returning to this sacred space we've built together.
I experienced a burnout that forced me to step away from everything I loved - including this blog and our community of 7,000 souls from India, Nepal, Canada, the US, Sweden, and beyond.
During this time of darkness, I lost my connection to the very teachings I was sharing. The dance of Shiva - destruction and creation - became my own journey. Sometimes we must be broken down completely to be rebuilt stronger.
Now, like Shiva's eternal dance, I'm returning. Transformed. Renewed.
This blog was born from genuine spiritual seeking, and it deserves to live again. You deserve the content and community we created together.
I'm deeply sorry for disappearing without explanation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The Dance of Shiva and Buddha continues.
Om Namah Shivaya 🕉️

You who walk the alleys of thought, let yourself be carried by the breath of a story that does more than just tell—it lives, it is felt, it weaves itself into every heartbeat.Imagine an autumn evening, the sky brushed with silvery gray, leaves swirling like forgotten prayers. In a small apartment where candles flicker, a tortoiseshell cat with glossy fur slips between the legs, her green eyes reflecting the glow of an oil lamp. Her name: Cassie.

I live in a small housing estate lined with towering plane trees. Their thick trunks and broad, serrated leaves create a green tunnel that softens daylight and, in winter, casts a muted gray veil over the streets.

There are evenings when anxiety settles in like a shadow—heavy and silent. My chest tightens, my throat constricts, and my thoughts spin in endless loops. Yet beside me, Cassie, my tortoiseshell cat, breathes calmly, indifferent to the inner storm raging within me. It is in these moments that I’ve learned to observe, to breathe, and to accept—without judgment. Sophrology and mindfulness have become my allies, inspired by her instinctive wisdom. Here’s how these practices, combined with the gentleness of the present moment, have helped me transform anxiety into a space of peace.

Parvati, a central figure in Hinduism, embodies the divine feminine energy and plays a crucial role in the Hindu pantheon. Known by various names such as Uma, Gauri, and Shakti, Parvati is much more than just the wife of Lord Shiva; she represents the essence of divine feminine energy.

Buddhism is a philosophy and spiritual practice aimed at understanding the nature of reality and freeing the mind from suffering. Deep Buddhism, or Mahayana Buddhism, emphasizes compassion and deep wisdom. It teaches that all sentient beings have the capacity to achieve enlightenment and that compassion is essential to help others reach this state.

Cats are often perceived as mysterious and intuitive beings. Their sixth sense, which seems to go beyond the five classical human senses, is a fascinating subject. Cats are able to perceive things that humans cannot, making them particularly sensitive to their environment. This sensitivity could explain why they are attracted to spiritual practices such as mantras, meditation and yoga. Cassie, my tortoiseshell cat, is a perfect example of this sensitivity and intuition.

Mindfulness and sophrology are two practices aimed at improving mental and physical well-being. Although they share similarities, they have distinct approaches and objectives. In this article, we will explore the differences between mindfulness and sophrology, as well as the benefits of each practice. We will also see how practicing these techniques with an animal can help reduce stress in the animal, using Cassie as an example.

Hinduism is an eternal dance between the sacred and the everyday, a quest for meaning where every gesture can become an offering. In this dance, Cassie, my tortoiseshell cat, is my most faithful partner. Together, we explore the depths of Hindu concepts, turning every moment into a life lesson.

Every morning, as the golden light of the sun filters through the leaves of the plane tree, Cassie, my tortoiseshell companion, settles down near me, her coat speckled with rust and ebony shining like a mosaic of silent mantras. Her eyes, half-closed, seem to reflect the wisdom of the Four Noble Truths: suffering exists, but so does peace. With her, Buddhism is no longer a distant philosophy, but a living practice, breathed in every moment.

Sophrology is a practice that combines breathing techniques, relaxation, and visualization to harmonize the body and mind. Inspired by the calmness of my animals, especially Cassie, I have discovered in it a powerful tool to transform stress into serenity. In this article, I share my favorite techniques, tested and adapted to a sometimes busy daily life, as well as resources to practice in English and some content in Hindi.

A few weeks ago, Cassie and I experienced a rare moment together. Sitting side by side on the living room rug, we dove into complete silence—an experience neither of us had truly explored before. It wasn’t just the absence of noise; it was a deep, almost sacred presence. This shared silence became my gateway to a more intimate understanding of Zen Buddhism, a practice where every moment becomes meditation, and every breath, a lesson.

19 Jan 2026 05:30
This morning, as Cassie, my four-legged companion, stretched beneath the first rays of sunlight filtering through the branches of the plane tree, I caught myself whispering: "What is Hinduism, really? A religion? A philosophy? Or simply a way of being in the world?" Her half-closed eyes, her deep purring like a natural mantra, reminded me that the deepest answers are not always found in books, but in the very experience of life. Hinduism is a bit like Cassie: impossible to confine to a single definition. It is a river with a thousand currents, a forest with endless paths, a sky where every star—like Sirius, still shining at dawn—tells a different story.

Buddhism is more than a philosophy or a religion—it is an invitation to live mindfully, to observe life as it unfolds, without filters or judgment. It is the art of recognizing suffering (dukkha), understanding its causes, and cultivating inner peace through wisdom (prajna) and compassion (karuna). For me, this wisdom isn’t learned only from books or sutras. It comes alive in the small, everyday moments: in the breath synchronized with Cassie’s, my four-legged companion, and in the golden morning light dancing on her tortoiseshell fur.

Light filters through the curtains, painting shifting patterns on the wooden floor. Cassie, curled into a ball near the window, opens one golden eye. She watches me as if she already knows what the day will teach me. I sit cross-legged beside her, my fingers brushing her soft, warm fur, marked with dark patches like a map of forgotten constellations. She purrs—a natural mantra—and I let myself be soothed by the sound, which resonates within me like a silent Om.

A few months ago, while feeling overwhelmed by stress, I discovered the calming power of sophrology and mindfulness. A meditation session with my pet, Cassie, helped me regain a state of calm and clarity. This personal experience convinced me of the importance of these practices in our daily lives.

Hinduism is not just a religion for me: it is a daily melody, a silent dialogue between the sacred and the tangible. Shiva, Parvati, Ganesha, Krishna, and Ashokasundari are not distant figures. They are here, in Cassie’s purring, in the golden morning light filtering through the curtains, in the small miracles that weave my solitude into a tapestry of grace.
14 Jan 2026 05:30
In the silence of the morning, as the sun's rays, passing through the light curtains, draw golden patterns on Cassie's striped fur, like a blessing from Surya, I often find myself sitting cross-legged on the floor, eyes closed, breathing deeply. By my side, Cassie, my feline companion, is snuggled against me, her soft and regular purring resonating like a mantra. These moments of peace and tranquility have become an essential part of my spiritual practice, a dance between Buddhism and daily life with Cassie.

Mindfulness entered my life like a quiet revelation, almost an inner calling. It was Cassie—always rooted in the present moment—who showed me how often we humans miss the beauty of now. She became my guide, without even knowing it.

Sophrology is much more than a simple relaxation technique. It is a dance between body and mind, an invitation to fully live each moment. For me, this dance has become an essential part of my life, especially thanks to Cassie, my four-legged companion.

Hinduism is not just a philosophy or a religion; it's a daily dance with life, a dance that Cassie and I practice together. Each morning, as the sunlight filters through the curtains, Cassie, with her tortoiseshell fur and deep gaze, reminds me that spirituality is lived in the small moments, in simple gestures, and in the attentive presence to what surrounds us.

5:30 AM. The world still sleeps, wrapped in a cottony softness, but not Cassie the Star. With a graceful movement, she stretches, arching her tortoiseshell back like a slow wave, before placing her paws on the cool floor. Her half-closed eyes catch the first glimmers of dawn filtering through the curtains. She approaches her bowl with feline elegance, savoring each kibble as if it were a sacred ritual. This first meal is not just about hunger; it’s a moment of gratitude, an offering to the day ahead.

In a world often divided by religious differences, Tibetan Buddhism stands out for its unique approach to tolerance and mutual respect. This millennia-old tradition, born from the high plateaus of Tibet, invites us to discover a path where compassion, wisdom, and openness to others are at the heart of the spiritual quest.

Hinduism is one of the world's oldest religions, rich in traditions, sacred texts, and spiritual practices. For me, Hinduism has been a source of inspiration and peace, especially through meditation, mantras like "Om Namah Shivaya," and rituals I share with my feline companion, Cassie. This religion is not monolithic but a tapestry of traditions—Vaishnavism, Shaivism, Shaktism, and more—each with its own unique practices and interpretations.

« Sometimes, the deepest teachings come to us in the silence of a gaze, the warmth of a body curled up next to ours, or the soothing rhythm of shared breath. Cassie, with her quiet presence, taught me this. »

My first encounter with tantras was through a forgotten book on a shelf, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. As I flipped through its pages, one sentence struck me: "Liberation is in life itself." That evening, Cassie curled up beside me, her purring resonating like a mantra. Unknowingly, she showed me that spirituality is not about escape, but about presence.

One morning, as Cassie was watching the birds from the balcony, her fixed and peaceful gaze reminded me of the teachings of the Upanishads: the soul, like her, is a silent witness, traveling through the cycles of time. It is by watching her that I began to understand samsara not as a theory, but as an eternal dance, where each life is a note in an endless melody.
4 Jan 2026 05:30
Yesterday, while I was meditating on the balcony, Cassie came to snuggle against me. A sudden noise made her startle, but she simply lay down again, without ruminating. This moment reminded me how natural... and liberating acceptance can be. Mindfulness is a practice that invites us to be fully present in the moment, without judgment. In this session, we will explore the theme of acceptance and letting go, essential concepts for living a more serene and fulfilling life.

What if the path to enlightenment could be found in a purr, a gaze, or a paw placed on your knee? Tibetan Buddhism, born from the encounter between Indian wisdom and Tibetan shamanism, suggests that spirituality is not a distant quest but a dance between the sacred and the ordinary. And sometimes, our best guides have four paws.

In Hindu tradition, Brahma is the god of creation, the one who breathes life into the universe and represents the beginning of all things. For me, this idea of creation and beginning is embodied in the small moments of my daily life with my feline companion, Cassie the Star.

Today is a day of celebration in my country. The streets are filled with light and joy, but for me, Cassie, it's a day of challenges. I spent my day between purrs and cuddles, but as soon as the evening fell, the fireworks and firecrackers started. For me, it's war. I can't meditate, I hide, I'm afraid of these noises that remind me of war. I go to the room where we talk, where I feel reassured. Then I go see my master to make sure he's okay. I wonder why humans love these noises that terrify me.

Every Tuesday, the day dedicated to Hanuman, I light a lamp before his image, just as I do for Lakshmi. This ritual, often shared with Cassie who settles beside me, reminds me that devotion is not just a prayer, but a presence — like that of Cassie, who watches the world with silent and unwavering attention. Hanuman, with his strength and wisdom, embodies this same presence: a bridge between power and gentleness, between action and contemplation. This weekly practice has become a moment of calm and reflection, where I connect with the strength and wisdom of Hanuman. For me, Hanuman represents inner strength and the ability to overcome obstacles, no matter their size.

My encounter with Tibetan Buddhism was a revelation, particularly through the teachings on compassion and impermanence. These principles took on their full meaning when I began observing Cassie, whose presence taught me to see wisdom in the small gestures of daily life. Buddhism, founded by Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, is a spiritual philosophy aimed at understanding the nature of suffering and finding a path to liberation. The Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path are at the heart of this philosophy, providing a framework for cultivating wisdom and compassion.
